For people who want to start writing

A lot of people have asked me in the past month how to enter the writing niche. No, it’s not “just” writing. Many people believe that, which is why the writing career is currently oversaturated. This is also why they get horrible reviews when they turn in content to clients.

First off, you have to unlearn whatever you’ve learnt in this country called Nigeria. All the essays you are told to write about your summer holiday in school is more or less pointless. The grading system is wack, and the teachers teaching English seldom know what they’re doing, but that’s a story for another day.

I’m not saying I know the master key to writing, but writing for three years and getting consistent positive reviews from clients worldwide is no joke. I can show you proof if you’d like. So, I think I might start a writing class soon. Break down how redundant the things you know about writing are, and why writing is not just a get-rich-quick scheme. It would also cover how to write properly, and what clients are looking for. What do you guys think? I wrote this to throw this question out to the public.
