If you ask around, many people would say they were raised in a loving, affectionate home. However, if you feel like you love people way more than they love you back, there’s a good chance you were raised by one or two narcissistic parents. Why? I’ll tell you. When a…

I finally understand what Beyonce was talking about: On Self-Love

I’ve always hated going to the Barbers’. It’s not because of all the waiting in line I’ll potentially have to do, or because I’ll have to interact with lots of people. Lol, well, at least not completely. It’s because I was forced to do it as a kid. My bald-headed…

The Art Of Self-Disclosure

The Art Of Self-Disclosure Last week, I got to learn something very interesting; people don’t like to self-disclose. No, I’m not blaming this on the people I met that made me realize this. Instead, I came to understand that this is a generational problem. As much as we like to…

The Irregular Case of Tarrare: The French Spy Who Ate Everything

Eating disorders are common, and are tedious to treat. With the affected person seeking help through therapy and support groups, this makes it manageable to a large extent. However, a story unlike no other is Tarrare or “France’s greatest Eater”, as he is commonly referred to as. He lived an…

After reading many articles about narcissism, I now believe my later mother was one.

Thank you for this, Jean.

Thank you for this, Jean. So many people were born to narcissistic parents, so they can't quite the behavior themselves. I think that without therapy and unlearning, they would carry this delusional attitude into their future relationships. More enlightenment on the narcissistic trait needs to be addressed, otherwise it continues to be an endless cycle. Like you, I have a strained relationship with my mom, and I don't know if that is going to change. My condolences for the result of your previous marriage.

For people who want to start writing

A lot of people have asked me in the past month how to enter the writing niche. No, it’s not “just” writing. Many people believe that, which is why the writing career is currently oversaturated. This is also why they get horrible reviews when they turn in content to clients. …
